I dedicated seven days, from August 17th to August 23rd, 2024, redesigning the interface of Knowledge Cloud. The focus was on improving usability and streamlining the platform for consultants, addressing navigational challenges and enhancing search functionality. The redesign merged clean, modern UX principles with practical features like tag systems, collapsible sidebars, and advanced search tools. The result was an intuitive, efficient dashboard that empowers consultants to access knowledge with ease, boosting both productivity and satisfaction.

⛔ Problem

Knowledge Cloud's previous design was cluttered, making it difficult for consultants to locate relevant articles quickly. The lack of advanced search options, disorganized catalogs, and an inefficient tagging system led to time-consuming navigation and reduced productivity. The redesign aimed to streamline the interface, improving usability and enabling consultants to work more efficiently.

I independently analyzed the needs of consultants to redesign Knowledge Cloud, streamlining the layout, simplifying navigation, and enhancing accessibility. Key improvements included an advanced search, collapsible catalogs, and a color-coded tagging system, resulting in a more efficient platform that boosts productivity and ensures a seamless user experience.

What I Learned 🌱

Initiative and Self-Motivation: Embarking on this self-study project as my first foray into UX design underscored the importance of taking initiative and being self-motivated in acquiring new skills and knowledge.

Practical Application of UX Principles: Through the process of designing the landing page for Athena Bookstore, I gained firsthand experience in applying UX principles to real-world projects, solidifying my understanding of their practical implications.

Hands-On Practice: This experience highlighted the significance of hands-on practice in honing my UX design skills, emphasizing the value of iterative learning and experimentation.

Confidence and Resourcefulness: Despite being a self-initiated endeavor, this project instilled in me a sense of confidence and resourcefulness, demonstrating that passion and dedication can drive meaningful growth and success in UX design.
